US stocks were sharply and broadly lower Tuesday morning, with energy, financial, building, and industrial issues leading the way down. At 11:10 am ET Tuesday, the 30-stock Dow Jones industrial average was lower by 154.83 points at 8,126.39. The broader S&P 500 index fell 21.72 points to 828.40.
